In September 2023, the amount of cow's milk collected by processing plants showed a decrease of 6.8% compared to August 2023 and a slight decrease of 0.1% compared to the same period in 2022. Detailed analysis reveals notable nuances, with significant decreases in drinking cream production (-7.7%) and increases in butter production (+3.6%). At the same time, imported raw milk saw a significant increase of 16.1%.

According to data from the National Institute of Statistics, comparing September 2023 with the same month in 2022, cow's milk collection saw a slight decrease of 0.1%. The drinking milk sector was the worst affected, recording a decrease of 9.3%. At the same time, imports of raw milk saw a decrease of 7.6%.

In January-September 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, cow's milk collection saw a solid increase of 9.2%. Production of drinking cream stagnated, remaining at the previous year's level, while production of sour milk and other dairy products suffered a significant decline of 6.7%. Imports of raw milk also saw a significant reduction of 28.7%.
