Accusing Stallone of creating a negative atmosphere on set
There were also reports of the dismissal of the casting director
According to Variety, 77-year-old American actor and director Sylvester Stallone is accused of creating a "toxic environment" during the filming of the series "King of Tulsa". This is an American crime drama series created by Taylor Sheridan and Terence Winter for Paramount+, where Stallone played the lead role. The second season is currently filming in Atlanta, while the first season was shot in Oklahoma.
A post by TV writer Julie Benson, who posted two screenshots from X, is being actively discussed on social media. She wrote: "Received this disturbing news from a friend of mine in Atlanta who had experience with the King of Tulsa project this week. The casting agent quit because she was so disgusted. My friend is now worried about his job. Sylvester Stallone, what can you say about yourself? Also, I'm disappointed, I'm just furious."
One of the screenshots shows a Facebook post with a blurred username that says Stallone, addressing extras in a scene, said to the show's director: "What the hell is going on with these damn ugly backgrounds". Stallone and the director then "called certain people horrible names and laughed at them." Stallone allegedly said: "Bring in some beautiful young girls to be with me".
A Facebook post states that Rose Locke, an extras casting director with a long list of credits, quit the project because of this. Social media also calls on supporting actors to unite to publicize the situation regarding the treatment of extras. Locke said she left the set after being "informed about certain things".
"I ended up quitting because it was clearly a toxic environment that I was not comfortable putting myself or the extras in", she explained.
Rose Locke Casting announced on Facebook that it had decided to end its cooperation with the King of Tulsa series. The company's last working day on the project was April 12.
