According to the Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko, Kharkiv region businesses can use all the tools within the "Made in Ukraine" program. This includes grants for processing, microgrants, affordable loans, a mortgage program, compensation to farmers for Ukrainian agricultural machinery, and other programs.

"It is extremely important for us to support frontline regions such as Kharkiv region. Since the invasion, more than 60 thousand objects have been damaged in the region. The war has hit the industry hard, although before the invasion, this sector was the key one for the region. Therefore, it is our duty to Kharkiv region and Kharkiv citizens to support them in the most difficult moment," Svyrydenko emphasized.

She said that the possibility of increasing the size of microgrants for Kharkiv region businesses from UAH 250 thousand to UAH 500 thousand and expanding the microgrant program for self-employed people to UAH 100 thousand is also being considered.

"In addition, the potential introduction of a compensation program for small, medium and large businesses in the Kharkiv region for saving or creating jobs within six months is being considered. Ministries and departments have been instructed to work out the possibility of providing portfolio guarantees to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in Kharkiv, as well as establishing preferential tariffs for rail freight from stations in the frontline territories," the statement said.
  • Earlier, the first Made in Ukraine office was opened in Sumy, which was created to support micro and small businesses. There, entrepreneurs will be advised on the conditions of participation in government programs.
