The Center for Countering Disinformation revealed false statements about Ukraine in international media

On April 1, the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine recorded several cases of manipulation in foreign media. One of these manipulations was a report by The National Interest, which claimed:

"It is unlikely that Ukraine will be able to defeat russia, regain Crimea, and drive the russians out of eastern Ukraine in the future. No Western support will help achieve this result... However, the illusion persists that the right weapons will make a difference".
Another manipulation was expressed by American entrepreneur David Sachs on X (Twitter), where he stated:
"The US has run out of money for air defense that could be given to Ukraine. Another $61 billion won't change that fact. Demand peace before the rest of the country is destroyed".

Also, former US Secretary of Defense Douglas McGregor expressed the opinion that:
"Many in the West do not realize that Zelenskyy and his regime are the equivalent of a wounded animal that is dying. As a result, it will fight with all its might to the bitter end, instead of surrendering".
In addition, on March 31, information appeared about the spread of fake news by anonymous Telegram channels and some Ukrainian bloggers in social networks that after the end of the war in Ukraine, the borders will remain closed and martial law will continue to be in effect.
