"FAB-500 was discovered near the village of Besonovka on March 27. Sources say the munition was destroyed today. There were no casualties or destruction," the newspaper wrote.

Over the past week, 9 FABs have been reported to have fallen in the belgorod region of russia.

The FAB-500 is a 500-kilogram general-purpose high explosive bomb developed in the USSR and mainly used by the russian Air Force. The original M-54 model was produced in 1954. The bomb is unguided, has a single nose fuse, and is compatible with most models of Soviet aircraft.
