Today, March 27, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Sumy region. There, the head of state awarded Ukrainian defenders, held a coordination meeting and a regional meeting on the economic policy program "Made in Ukraine"

"I visited our soldiers who are recovering from injuries. We are proud of our soldiers. We appreciate the work of our doctors. I thank every doctor for helping our soldiers, bringing them back to life," the President of Ukraine wrote.
Zelenskyy also met with the soldiers of the 117th Separate Tank Brigade.
"I talked to the defenders, presented state awards and inspected the brigade's command post. I thank you for protecting Ukraine, our sovereignty and territorial integrity," Zelenskyy said.
In his address, the Ukrainian leader emphasized that it is especially difficult at the border because of russian aggression.
"It is especially difficult in the border area - there is constant russian terror. There is constant shelling, air strikes, counteraction to enemy sabotage groups," the President said.
Zelenskyy also spoke about the coordination meeting, which raised issues of internal security in Sumy region.
"From shelters to combating crime, and on all defense issues. Very substantively - on the economy and social situation. Now the common task of the government, regional authorities, and community leaders is to provide every opportunity to create jobs here in our Sumy region, to ensure that social protection works, and to have reliable budget revenues," he emphasized.
At the same time, during the president's visit, a regional meeting was held for the first time on the new economic policy program "Made in Ukraine." Zelenskyy said that "a substantial amount of funds" had been allocated to all regions of Ukraine, including Sumy. According to him, contracts were signed for the defense industry.
"In particular, today there are new contracts for automated fire systems, new FPV drones with appropriate drops, simulators for mobile fire groups that will help to more effectively shoot down "chessmen". Everything that is really needed", Zelenskyy added.
