Margot Robbie to produce movie adaptation of The Sims game
Australian actress Margot Robbie, who co-founded the production company LuckyChap Entertainment, is to adapt The Sims video game for the screen.

LuckyChap Entertainment producers Margot Robbie, Josey McNamara and Tom Ackerley are planning to produce a new film that will be an adaptation of The Sims game. Kate Herron will direct, and she is also working on the script with Briony Redman. The two formerly worked together on Doctor Who, and Herron is also set to direct an episode for the second season of The Last of Us. The Sims is one of the best-selling video game franchises in history, with over 200 million copies sold.
The game from Electronic Arts allowed players to control characters in the game, simulating their lives, including starting a family, finding love, and going to work.
Margo Robbie of LuckyChap Entertainment produced "Barbie" and achieved great success. The Sims movie is currently still in early development.
