A teacher at a Zaporizhzhia university was sentenced to 9 years in prison: he reconnoitered the positions of the Defense Forces for the FSB, setting up an "observation post" at his own dacha

A teacher of a Zaporizhzhia higher vocational school set up an "observation post" at his own dacha in a garden community near the southern front to collect intelligence about the Defense Forces. The offender sought to record the locations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces units, for which he used binoculars and other optics.

At the same time, the man was cycling around the surrounding area and recording the movement of Ukrainian military equipment.
According to the investigation, the enemy informant communicated with the russians through a "liaison" - a blogger of a pro-kremlin telegram channel who worked for the FSB and was in the temporarily occupied part of the region.
The blogger, after seeing the attacker's anti-Ukrainian comments in the popular messenger, remotely engaged the teacher in cooperation.
It is noted that the SBU detained the man during his reconnaissance "raid" in July 2023.

"Based on the SBU materials, the court found the offender guilty under Part 3 of Art. 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information on the movement, movement of the Armed Forces, committed under martial law). Taking into account the cooperation with the investigation, the court sentenced the FSB informant to 9 years in prison," the SBU summarizes.
- On March 20, the SBU detained an FSB agent, a utility worker from Chernihiv region, who was cycling around the border areas and taking pictures of Ukrainian defenders to collect intelligence about the Defense Forces.
