In one of the apartment buildings, shell fragments hit the upper floors, and there is a threat of a balcony collapse. According to preliminary data, 10 cars were damaged.

In the region, 5 private households and 2 cars were damaged.

Republican Council passes bill to strengthen social protection of the military

The purpose of the draft law is to improve the mechanisms for ensuring certain rights of servicemen, in particular, the right to information, medical care, leave, as well as the right of police officers to a one-time financial assistance in case of death, determination of disability.

By the second reading, the document removed the provisions that proposed to excessively restrict the rights of servicemen to freedom of speech and publication of information on the Internet.

The bill establishes the possibility of servicemen to stay for treatment for up to 12 months, including abroad, without the need to undergo a personal military medical examination in 4 months.

The law stipulates that in the event of the death of a serviceman, the family has the right to receive a cash payment of UAH 15 million.

"Also rejected were the provisions on additional excessive regulation of the import of humanitarian aid. It should be carried out by the relevant legislation, and to impose restrictions under the beautiful sign of "social security of the military" is wrong and unacceptable," Friz wrote.

The bill also stipulates that priests of the so-called UOC-MP cannot be military chaplains.
