Enemy shelling of Ukraine

During the day, the enemy launched 36 missiles and 50 air strikes, fired 96 times from multiple rocket launchers at the positions of our troops and settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Multistory buildings and private houses were destroyed and damaged.

Situation in the main frontline areas

In the Volhynia and Polesia sectors, the operational situation remains unchanged. No signs of formation of russian offensive groups have been detected.

In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi sectors, the enemy maintains military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells settlements from the territory of the russian federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The enemy conducted air strikes near the settlements of Vorozhba and Hrytsenkove in Sumy region. More than 20 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy, supported by aviation, made 1 unsuccessful assault on the positions of the Defense Forces near the village of Synkivka, Kharkiv region. It carried out an air strike near Nadiia, Luhansk region. More than 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Limanskyi sector, our troops repelled 10 enemy attacks near the localities of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, and Terny, Spirne, Vesele, Rozdolivka, Donetsk region. The enemy also launched an air strike near Novosadove, Donetsk region. More than 15 localities suffered from artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Bakhmut sector, our troops repelled 14 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka and Andriivka in Donetsk region. The enemy conducted air strikes near the localities of Hryhorivka, Kalynivka and New York in Donetsk region. About 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiyivka, Andriivka in Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled four enemy attacks in the areas of Berdychi, Semenivka, Tonenke and Pervomaiske in Donetsk region. The enemy launched air strikes near Novobakhmutivka and Orlivka in the Donetsk region. About 20 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including Novobakhmutivka, Berdychi, Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodiane, and Urozhayne, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to break through the defense of our troops 24 times. The enemy launched an air strike near Kurakhove, Donetsk region. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire from the occupiers.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders 6 times, with the support of aviation, near the settlements of Staromaiorske, Donetsk region, and Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region. About 15 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Malynivka, Charivne, Bilohirya, Novodanylivka, Pyatikhatky in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson sector, the enemy did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions over the last day. Ivanivka, Kherson region, came under artillery and mortar fire.

Defense Forces strikes on enemy positions

During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck 7 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment and 2 enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.

Rocket troops destroyed 1 artillery unit and 2 enemy air defense systems.

• During the day of March 20, 67 combat engagements took place at the front. The enemy attempted to attack the positions of the Defense Forces 52 times, 18 of them in the Novopavlivka sector.
