The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill to increase the number of servicemen of the State Border Guard Service by 15 thousand

The draft law "On Amendments to Clause 1 of Section IX "Final Provisions" of the Law of Ukraine "On the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine" was registered by the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada under the number 11091.
According to Melnychuk, this bill provides for an increase in the number of SBGS servicemen by 15 thousand people "given the urgent need to form and build up combat reserves of the State Border Guard Service as part of the Defense Forces and ensure the readiness of the State Border Guard Service in the post-war period to take control of the state border within its internationally recognized borders and adequate response by the available forces and means of the State Border Guard Service to current and potential threats to national security at the state border".
- On March 18, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated an additional UAH 5 billion from the state budget reserve fund for the purchase of drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
