On July 23, at 10:00, the first in a series of roundtable discussions "Wood in the Reconstruction and Development of Ukraine: State Policy, Regulation and Green Recovery Goals" will be held online and offline by invitation. The Forest Stewardship Council will bring together representatives of government agencies, academic institutions and non-governmental organizations, international donors, developers and architects to unlock the potential of wood in the green recovery and development of Ukraine in the face of current challenges.

The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is an international non-governmental, non-profit organization whose mission is to promote responsible forest management in forests around the world. To achieve the organization's goals, FSC, in particular, promotes transformational processes of green and circular economy development within the framework of green recovery.

The speakers of the event will be Pavlo Kravets, Director of FSC Ukraine, PhD in Agriculture, researcher at URIFFM, and Brian Milakovsky, an expert on economic recovery and sustainable development. The discussion will start with a brief overview of Bryan's report "Wood in Ukraine's Green Recovery: An Overview of Strategies and Initiatives ", which demonstrates the current barriers and opportunities for the wider use of wood in reconstruction and decarbonization projects in the construction sector.

The event will be moderated by Oleh Panyuta, journalist and host of the We Are Ukraine TV channel.
