Broadcasts only for"close friends": Instagram has launched a new feature
Social network Instagram, which is owned by Meta, has launched a new feature: users will only be able to hold online broadcasts for a list of "close friends"
It's said that the new feature will work globally. Instagram users will be able to host live broadcasts that are only available to their close friends list. At the same time, up to three other accounts will be able to join the live broadcast and broadcast with the user who organized it.
Before, all users of the social network were notified of the start of a live broadcast and had the opportunity to join it if the account was public. Private account holders, in turn, were able to join broadcasts with all subscribers.
- It was previously reported that Instagram is updating its algorithm to equalize the reach of all authors. As part of the innovations, the platform will flag content that users repost and will also remove content aggregators from recommendations.
