"Unfortunately, we are losing not only where there are no walls and people have left. We are losing, and we will talk about it, because of not fully competent and balanced policy on mobilization of representatives of Ukrainian culture", the official said.
He admitted that the percentage of mobilization of cultural workers across the country does not exceed 10%.
At the same time, he said, "The unevenness and unfairness of attention in specific cases leads to the fact that some cultural institutions are forced to stop their activities because there are no people who ensure their work".
Karandeev emphasized the need to find an approach that would maximize the preservation of people who "carry in themselves, with their activities, the important things that we need today".
- April 8, it became known that the Ministry of Culture added circuses to the list of critically important enterprises. Thus, their workers are subject to reservation from mobilization. This caused a negative public reaction.
- The next day, Karandeev reacted to criticism of the reservation of circus workers from mobilization. "Outraged by the heath around the topic of booking cultural and media workers. This is the usual disrespect for the people of the sphere who honestly and qualitatively do their work, a primitive assessment of their public importance, as well as in general the importance of culture in a warring country", he expressed.
