Actor Tamayo Perry, who played the role of a pirate in the fourth installment of "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides", died while surfing in Hawaii in a shark attack

The 49-year-old actor, who was also a lifeguard, died yesterday afternoon, June 23. His body was brought to shore at that time.

Tamayo Perry was an instructor and had been surfing professionally for more than 10 years.

The actor starred in the TV series "Lost," "Hawaii Five-0."

  • On Feb. 19, it was reported that British actor Kevin McNally, best known for his role as Joshamee Gibbs in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" film series, arrested on suspicion of domestic violence.
