The Center for Countering Disinformation published a selection of anti-Ukrainian fakes that the world media launched on June 24
About this writes espreso.tv

Disinformation: US blogger Candace Owens said: "It is quite obvious that this is simply a money laundering operation. It is quite obvious that we have been lied to for a long time about what is going on in that region. Ukraine has always been a place for the US to launder money".

Refutation: The blogger openly repeats a Russian propaganda narrative aimed at distorting the facts regarding support for Ukraine and creating a hostile stance toward Ukraine among citizens of Western nations.

Disinformation: German-Finnish blogger Kim Dotcom wrote on his X (Twitter) page, "Ukraine's ethnic Russian population refused to recognize leaders elected by the US that they did not vote for. After 15,000 people were killed by the Ukrainian army, Russia intervened to liberate the affected regions, and they joined Russia by referendum".

Refutation: Such disinformation claims are intended to justify Russian aggression against Ukraine. The deaths of thousands of people between 2014 and 2022 in Ukraine are the result of Russia's illegal invasion and Russian shelling of Ukrainian territory. Also, the "referendum" that the blogger writes about was illegitimate because it violated international and Ukrainian legislation and was held under conditions of Russian terror.

  • On June 22, it was reported that former US officer Scott Bennett was spreading fake information that documents signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy were not legally valid.
