About this writes espreso.tv

Nana Akufo-Addo has said that Russia's aggression against Ukraine constitutes a violation of international law and has an impact on all countries, particularly African countries.

"The consequences of the Russia-Ukraine war are far-reaching, disrupting global supply chains, destabilizing markets, deepening economic hardship for millions of people. The African continent has been particularly affected", the Ghanaian president said.

He said Africa's already vulnerable economies, following the coronavirus pandemic, have experienced additional constraints due to the Russia-Ukraine war.

In particular, Russia's blockade of the Black Sea, has led to significant food shortages, rising prices and a widespread food crisis across Africa.

  • At the same plenary session, Ukrainian head of state Volodymyr Zelenskyy outlined three main points of the Peace Summit program: radiation and nuclear safety, food security, and the release of captives and deportees.
