"Today I am more amazed than ever by the results of the contact group meeting on Ukraine's defense. Since more than 50 countries are already helping Ukraine in the fight against Russia. At the meeting we discussed the situation on the battlefield and learned about the current state of affairs, thanks to the Ukrainian Defense Minister and the Ukrainian delegation. Russia continues to press on Kharkiv region and Ukraine is holding back the occupiers", Austin told us.
The minister said Ukraine will receive an additional $100 million military aid package.
"Since the $61 billion agreement was signed, aid has been steadily flowing to Ukraine. Last week, President Joe Biden announced a new security package worth more than $100 million. Also during this meeting, we discussed another military aid package for Ukraine worth more than $100 million. In particular, this package will include artillery ammunition and air defense missiles. Everything is necessary for Ukraine to continue to have opportunities to stop Putin", he added.
