According to espreso.tv

A source says Roberto De Zerbi and Marseille will soon conclude negotiations and sign a three-year contract agreement. Financial terms have not been disclosed.

Roberto De Zerbi has left English side Brighton after almost two seasons in the job. Prior to the APL, the 45-year-old Italian was in charge of Shakhtar Donetsk but left Ukraine because of the war. He has also worked with Sassuolo, Benevento, Palermo and Foggia.

The last coach of Marseille was Jean-Louis Gasquet, but he was sacked due to poor results: the team finished in eighth place in Ligue 1 and were left without European competitions for next season.

  • In 2023, Roberto De Zerbi was one of the contenders to take charge of Real Madrid.
