Ukrainian music producer Potap, who previously worked with Russian-language bands Vremya i Steklo, MOZGI, Potap and Nastya, has left Ukraine after the full-scale invasion began and is working abroad, mostly in Spain. He has given concerts in Russian clubs in Germany, and has been seen in Dubai in the company of Russians. In addition, in response to the hate, the producer recorded ambiguous videos, which drew even more hate.

Irina Gorovaia, a Ukrainian producer and Potap's former business partner, has spoken out about her ex-spouse's antics.

"I think everyone understands that it's either his PR strategy or it's mistakes. It's his life, I can't be responsible for it. But if I see something, of course, I can write to him: 'Well, Alexei, the context is a little different, I advise you to do something different there'. But we don't work, I'm not his PR campaign", Gorovaia said.

She also said that she not only doesn't want to be responsible for Potap's actions, but also to be defined solely in connection with his name.

"I would really like to appeal to journalists to be more correct because I don't like being called Potap's ex-wife. I am, of course, Potap's ex-wife. But besides Potap's ex-wife, I am also a producer, I have companies, I do a lot of things. My name is Irina Gorovaia. And it's very cool when journalists amplify people who are doing something, rather than looking for something to focus on from the past. It's been 3 years. And I've been divorced for about 10 years. And still "Potap's ex-wife". Maybe someday there will be 'Gorovoia's ex-husband'?", she added.
