FILM.UA Group has released the first official trailer for the horror film "The Witch of Konotop" directed by Andrei Kolesnik. This is a film about revenge on the occupiers, which they all deserve, which will be released on August 22, 2024. This will be the first film from the future line of horror FILM.UA Group, inspired by heroines with mythological background, who overcome evil against the backdrop of modern events.

In the story, an ancient witch from Konotop turns to her powerful magical powers, seeking revenge on the Russian soldiers who occupied her hometown and killed her fiancé. She inflicts bloody punishments on her abusers, enjoys the suffering, and sinks deeper and deeper into darkness.

The movie has an age limit of 18+.

The main roles in the movie were played by Tatiana Malkova and "To Catch the Kaidash" and "The Black Raven" star Taras Tsymbaliuk. Other episodic roles were played by leading man and military man Daniel Salem, actors and military men Oleksandr Pecherytsia and Volodymyr Rashchuk, and veteran dancer and model Nazar Grabar.

The film received government funding. The teaser features Angy Kreyda's song "Enemy".

The film was produced by producer Iryna Kostyuk and screenwriter Jaroslav Wojciešek, known for their work on the animation "Mawka. The Forest Song".
