Iraq to resume oil exports via Turkey
Iraq, which is OPEC's second-largest oil producer, said it plans to reach an agreement with the semi-autonomous Kurdistan region and international oil companies to resume oil exports
"There is progress in these talks and we hope to reach a final understanding on this issue in the coming days", Iraqi Oil Minister Haiyan Abdul Ghani said.
He said representatives of Iraq's Oil Ministry, Kurdistan's Natural Resources Ministry and international oil companies met in Baghdad on Sunday, June 9, to discuss the resumption of oil production and exports.
Abdul Ghani noted that revenues from production will be deposited in an account at Iraq's central bank.
