U.S. says Houthis fired two missiles into the Gulf of Aden: one of them hit a container ship
The U.S. Central Command said the Houthis fired on a container ship in the Gulf of Aden. Of the two missiles fired, one hit a Liberian-flagged vessel
According to the report, Iranian-backed Houthis have launched two anti-ship ballistic missiles (ASBMs) from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen into the Gulf of Aden in the past 24 hours.
One of the missiles struck the Liberian-flagged container ship Tavvishi, which is owned and operated by Switzerland.
The vessel reported damage but continued on its way.
In contrast, the second missile was successfully destroyed by a coalition ship.
