The minister said that now in Ukraine there are two critical challenges for the economy: energy problems and a shortage of labor force.
She believes that due to the mobilization of specialists in the army, it is necessary to implement programs for retraining those Ukrainians who remained on the home front. They should master the professions that are in the highest demand.
"First of all, we are talking about women who are already mastering once purely "male" professions. For example, bodyguards, drivers of trucks, buses or even tractors — these are the realities of the labor market. Re-qualification of specialists, together with employment of veterans, are the main challenges for the Government in the labor market. The EBRD will consider the possibility to financially support the implementation of relevant requalification programs, both from the government and from Ukrainian business", — emphasized Svyrydenko.
