It is noted that the Rada adopted the bill № 9600, which provides for an increase in time for university teachers for research, development, projects, innovation and professional development. At the same time, they will reduce the number of hours for lectures, seminars and consultations.
"They will have not 600, but up to 400-500 hours a year. At least 30 percent of the workload should be research work", the statement said.
Fedorov pointed out that the bill also provides a flexible system of incentives and rewards for teachers "for truly effective scientific activity".
"The transformation of education at all levels continues. Universities should become the real heart of science development, the place where new ideas and technologies are born", Fedorov emphasized.
According to MP Iaroslav Jelezniak, 254 MPs voted for the bill.
