Occupiers in Luhansk region will recognize Ukrainians who do not obtain Russian citizenship by the end of the year as foreigners — RMA
The Russians allowed Ukrainians to live in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region without Russian passports until the end of 2024, but then they will be recognized as foreigners
It is noted that the occupiers allowed persons without Russian citizenship to reside in the territory of the so-called LNR until December 31, 2024 on the basis of available documents.
"Then they will be recognized as foreigners and will have the right to apply for a residence permit. Forced passportization has failed", the RMA head noted.
He recalled that the occupiers had previously determined that Ukrainians could live in these territories without Russian-style documents only until July 1, after which the invaders threatened to arrange deportation.
- Recently, British intelligence reported that the Kremlin is trying to make the integration of Ukraine's temporarily occupied territories into Russia irreversible, so it will repopulate the land with Russians and deport Ukrainians.
