Tram routes of the Podil depot are testing fare payment via the app
Kyiv City State Administration announced the start of testing a new feature in the Kyiv Digital app. Now passengers can pay for travel without using validators, directly through the application.

To use the new payment method, you need to scan the QR code on a sticker or poster in the transport or enter the board number, press "K" – "Fare", scan the QR code on a poster or sticker in the transport and pay for travel with a transport card, QR ticket or bank card.

If the QR code is scanned by a passenger who does not have the Kyiv Digital app, he or she will be directed to the market to download the app. During the control, it is enough to open the fare record in the news feed on the home screen and click "Show to controller". The controller will scan the ticket with the reader and check the fare payment.

The new service can be tried on the tram routes of the Podilsky depot. Posters and stickers with QR codes can be found in several trams with numbers 11K, 12K, 15, 16K, 17, 18, and 19K. The list of routes is to be expanded after the testing is completed.

An opportunity to order a student ticket for free in the Kyiv Digital app has also been added to the list of routes in the capital.
