"The good news is that since the end of the Cold War, an international system has been established that separates nuclear weapons, the actual nuclear warheads from the carriers, they are stored separately. So every time our partners say that they see no signs that Russia is preparing for a nuclear strike — it's true, they see no signs that a certain central storage facility has been opened, that nuclear warheads have been taken out of there, that control systems have been deployed in the nuclear forces, there is nothing like that", the analyst at the National Institute for Strategic Studies said.
Izhak is convinced,
"From what is known, they will not equip real nuclear weapons, but they will equip mock-ups and now what is east of Moscow, in one of these warehouses in the Kalush region, Iskander-M and Kinzhal (Kh-47M2, — ed.), it seems they are conducting exercises there with equipping the missile with nuclear warheads. And what is flying and firing at us, there have been elements of practicing nuclear strikes there for two years, but it does not mean that there is such a risk", he concluded.
- May 10 it was reported that in the city of Asipovichy of the Republic of Belarus, located at a distance of about 190 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, they are building facilities where nuclear weapons could potentially be stored.
- As of May 17, the United States had not recorded any signs that Russia might use nuclear weapons against Ukraine, but it continues to closely monitor the actions of the occupiers.
- On May 21, it became known that in the southern military district of the Russian Federation the aggressor began the first stage of training with practical practice of preparation and use of tactical nuclear weapons.
