During a special operation, law enforcers discovered an illegal scheme for transporting military conscripts across the border

Law enforcers detained five criminal authorities in Kyiv, Sumy, Chernihiv and Kyiv regions for organizing the illegal transfer of military conscripts across the border, producing false documents and participating in criminal gatherings.

The investigation established that a group of persons ensured the production of false documents for the transport of men liable for military duty across the border. The documents included temporary certificates of persons liable for military service, certificates from military medical commissions stating that they were unfit for military service, and others.

Law enforcers reported that from June 2022 to September 2023, the members of the group found at least 42 clients from whom they received $5,000 each. However, the clients subsequently demanded refunds due to failure to fulfil their obligations to produce documents, which led to contradictions between the members of the criminal group. To resolve the situation, the group members turned to several criminal authorities, one of whom was involved as an arbitrator. Law enforcers recorded three meetings in Kyiv with the participation of criminal authorities and collected evidence of their involvement in illegal activities.

Five criminal authorities were detained during a special operation in Kyiv, Sumy, Chernihiv and Kyiv regions. During the searches, $70 thousand, €1 thousand, weapons and ammunition, certificates of various law enforcement agencies, public authorities and media with signs of forgery, mobile phones, bank cards, lock picks, 4 cars, etc. were seized.

On 2 May, it was reported that the Security Service and the National Police uncovered eight schemes to avoid mobilization in Ukraine. Among those involved in the cases is a former tax officer in Cherkasy Region, who used his old connections to sell positions in public organizations to evaders so that they could go abroad.
