In the high-end smartphone market, Apple offers discounts of up to $318 on some iPhone models
American company Apple has reduced prices for some iPhone models in China, offering discounts of up to $318 (2300 yuan) due to competition with Huawei. The promotion is valid from May 20 to 28 and is bigger than in February, when the maximum discount was 1150 yuan. The largest discount applies to the 1TB iPhone 15 Pro Max model, while other models have also been reduced. The base 128GB iPhone 15 model has a 1,400 yuan discount.
The competitor's pressure on Apple began after the presentation of Huawei's new Pura 70 series of high-end smartphones in September 2023. Discounts in February helped Apple mitigate the slowdown in sales in China. In March, Apple's shipments to China grew by 12%, which is a better result compared to the first two months of 2024, when the company experienced a 37% drop in sales.
On April 17, it became known that Apple is considering the possibility of establishing its manufacturing facilities in Indonesia.
