"For almost a year, we have been hoping that Zhenya would be found soon. Maybe in a hospital, maybe in captivity, but alive... But no... Genetic examination has confirmed that Yevhen Nevynskyi is now our heavenly protector", the statement reads.
From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Yevhen volunteered to defend Ukraine, the center notes. Yevhen was a serviceman of the 118th Brigade.
On July 27, 2023, he disappeared in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
"We hoped for the best for a long time, but the worst was confirmed. Yevhen Antonovych was taken away by the war...", — his colleagues wrote.
Nevynskyi is a graduate of the Theater Faculty of the Kotlyarevsky National University of Kyiv, an actor, a leading stage master of the Kyiv Puppet Theater on the left bank of the Dnipro River, a brilliant designer who has worked with puppet mechanization for many years both in his native theater and in the Kyiv Academic Puppet Theater. Yevhen Nevynskyi was a talented teacher who taught students of the Department of Puppetry Art of the Karpenko-Kary Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts the art of making theatrical puppets.
Students and colleagues called him Genius Antonovych.
