YASNO CEO Serhiy Kovalenko said that the reason for the introduction of power outages was the growth in consumption, which is difficult to predict

"Consumption is a value that is quite unpredictable by one hundred percent, because it is walking. And, in my opinion, we simply did not expect that consumption would grow so much. That is, we were forced to introduce emergency restrictions for several hours for the population", Kovalenko said.
In his opinion, there is no reason for a complete blackout, as it was in 2022. However, under certain circumstances, blackout schedules may be introduced in the summer.
"I don't see a complete blackout at all. Theoretically, everything is possible, but until we see it, it is technically impossible", Kovalenko added.
- On the evening of May 14, emergency blackouts were introduced in all regions of Ukraine due to a shortage of electricity as a result of Russian shelling.
