The official trailer for the war drama Obmin by Volodymyr Kharchenko-Kulikovskiy has been released. The film, based on real events, will be released on May 16.

In the story, a Kyiv surgeon Oleksandr learns that his son Kostya went to war as a volunteer when in the middle of the night an unknown person calls to say that he was captured by a local separatist, a former policeman named Privid. Because of his relationship with his ex-wife, Oleksandr has a tense relationship with his son, but he is ready to do anything for him. The boy is offered to be exchanged for a monetary reward.

The father has to go to the contact line himself and bring the specified amount. But another boy is brought for the exchange. After that, events unfold unpredictably for each side. A Russian GRU colonel, the head of the city's Russian occupation forces, gets involved.

The authors of the script were Konstantin Linartovich and Vlad Dudko. Vyacheslav Dovzhenko, Vlad Mamchur, Anna Adamovich, Vasyl Basha, Andriy Olefirenko, Ostap Dziadek and others played the roles in the film.
