It is noted that the sale, organized by the athlete's family, will feature a watch that Schumacher received as a gift from former Ferrari CEO and former FIA President Jean Todt in 2004.
The watch, custom-made in 18-karat white gold, features a red dial and an image of the Ferrari logo, Schumacher's racing helmet and the number 7 in honor of his seven world championship wins.
According to Christie's preliminary estimate, this lot can be sold for up to 2 million Swiss francs (about $2.2 million).
In addition, among other watches of the athlete are 5 in one box, which will be sold separately during the auction. The sale is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Schumacher's first victory in the Formula 1 championship in 1994.
The watches, which were delivered to New York and Taipei for demonstration before the sale, are part of a major auction of luxury watches that will go under the hammer on Tuesday in Geneva.
