Zaluzhnyi explains how many people the Armed Forces will need next year
Zaluzhnyi Discusses the Mobilization of 500 Thousand Ukrainians
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi commented on the need to mobilize about 500 thousand Ukrainians. He explained why the army needs this large number of people.
About this he said during the United News telethon broadcast.
Initially, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi clarified that no separate requests had been made by the military command to either the Cabinet of Ministers or the Verkhovna Rada.
However, as for the figure of 500 thousand Ukrainians to be mobilized next year, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine explained that this figure was indeed formed and explained what it was based on.
"It takes into account the coverage of the current shortage that has arisen, the formation of new military units, as well as the forecasting of our losses that we may incur over the next year", - stated General Zaluzhnyi.
He clarified that the military command always routinely forms requests for ammunition, weapons and human resources. And this is done on an ongoing basis.
Valeriy Zaluzhnyi suggested that currently, Ukraine's priority is not to defend or recapture Avdiivka but rather to prioritize saving the lives of Ukrainian soldiers.
