It is noted that on April 7, Russian occupants carried out ground attacks near Bohdanivka, Novyi microraion, near Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka and Andriivka.
At the same time, the enemy has recently advanced northwest of Avdiivka. Geolocation footage published on May 7 shows that russia is making progress along the railway line west of Ocheretyne (northwest of Avdiivka).
In contrast, propagandists claimed that the occupiers were also advancing northwest of Avdiivka and southwest of Ocheretyne and to the southern outskirts of the town. Another russian milblogger says that russia has advanced 1.5 km deep into the mudflats along the Novobakhmutivka-Berdychi line.
However, ISW has not found any confirmation of these russian claims.
In addition, the occupiers have recently confirmed an offensive in Zaporizhzhia region. Geolocation footage released on May 7 shows that the enemy has advanced along Skydna Street to new positions in southeastern Robotyno. One milblogger claimed that Russian troops are also making progress in the northwestern part of Robotyno, although ISW has not yet observed visual confirmation that russian troops are operating in the area.
- On May 7, Vladyslav Selezniov, a military expert, colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (2014-2017), noted that the enemy is currently laying the groundwork for attacks on the eastern front.
