On May 6, the Malmö Arena hosted a dress rehearsal for the participants of the first semi-final of Eurovision 2024. Traditionally, the day before the live broadcasts of the song contest, the dress rehearsal is recorded in case of force majeure, and the professional jury sets its scores.

Jerry Heil and alyona alyona perform in the first semifinal. During the rehearsal, the rap singer tripped over her costume while climbing the stairs to the stage and fell. As alyona alyona herself explained, her 3-kilogram chainmail had managed to stretch under its own weight and become a little longer during all the rehearsals.

"Everything is fine. One broken nail, a scraped knee and a slightly torn suit don't mean anything. I got up, I went to read out, and if necessary, any Ukrainian woman would do the same", the artist commented on the incident.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2024 semifinals will be held at the Malmö Arena on May 7 and 9. The Grand Final will take place on May 11. Jerry Heil and Alyona Alyona will represent Ukraine at the song contest, they won the National Selection.
