Polish judge of the Warsaw Voivodeship Administrative Court Tomasz Szmydt asked for protection from the Belarusian authorities at a press conference in Minsk, as he disagrees with the policy of his country

This was reported by espreso.tv

According to the report, Szmydt previously held various positions in the Polish judiciary, including head of the legal department at the National Council of Judges.

BELTA notes that at the briefing he protested against the Polish authorities, who allegedly led the country to war under the influence of the United States and the United Kingdom. According to Szmydt, he was persecuted and threatened for his "independent political position", and because he disagreed with the activities of the Polish authorities, he was forced to leave his country and come to Belarus.

"I would like to allow myself to address President Alexander Lukashenko directly. I am very sorry for my courage, but I will allow myself to ask for the custody, protection of the president and Belarus as a whole", the judge said, adding that Belarus has a "very wise leader".
  • On November 6, it was reported that a Polish soldier shot an illegal migrant on the border with Belarus.
