Xi Jinping arrives for talks in Paris
Chinese leader Xi Jinping arrived in Paris on May 5 for a state visit and met with French President Emmanuel Macron

The publication noted that the leaders are expected to hold "very difficult discussions behind closed doors" amid growing tensions between Europe and China over trade imbalances and the war in Ukraine.
"Xi Jinping's visit to France comes as EU-China relations enter a new, much more complex and potentially more confrontational era", the publication commented.
