USAID predicts growth of grain exports from Ukraine by 15% more than in 2023
USAID invests in Ukraine's agricultural sector, providing support from seed procurement to shipping
The Deputy Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Isobel Coleman said that due to foreign aid, including investments, grain exports from Ukraine are expected to grow by about 15% this year. This information was published on the official social media page.
"USAID is investing in Ukraine's agricultural sector from seed procurement to shipping", Coleman said.
She also emphasized the importance of supporting safe export routes, including the Danube River, by providing a pilot ship for Ukraine's transportation sector.
According to Coleman, this increase in exports will not only help increase Ukraine's revenue, but will also help the country defend itself and provide food for the global community. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food predicts that in 2024, the gross production of grains and oilseeds will be about 74 million tons, which is 8 million tons less than last year.
