Latvian government approves a new aid package for Ukraine, under which the Armed Forces will receive anti-aircraft guns and surveillance drones

The Latvian prime minister emphasized that this military assistance will help improve Ukraine's air defense and intelligence capabilities.

"The government has just approved the transfer of NBS anti-aircraft guns, tactical unmanned surveillance systems and other necessary materials to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This will help to improve both Ukraine's air defense and its intelligence capabilities", Silinia wrote.

The prime minister also added that Latvia allocates about 0.25% of its GDP per year to help Ukraine.

"We will continue to support Ukraine both bilaterally and together with our allies", she assured.
  • On April 29, the Latvian company Latvenergo handed over a package of equipment to Ukraine to restore the energy infrastructure.
