"We are not aware of any drone attacks since the incident was reported a week ago, and that is reassuring. However, we know from experience that the situation can deteriorate dramatically at any moment. The situation remains extremely unpredictable", Grossi said.
According to him, IAEA experts working at the nuclear power plant hear artillery shelling every day in places located at different distances from the ZNPP.
It is noted that on Monday, April 22, IAEA experts visited a training center located near the perimeter of the ZNPP site. They paid a visit there for the first time after reports of drone attacks on the building on April 7, 9 and 18, but the specialists were not allowed on the roof again.
- On April 7, International Atomic Energy Agency Director General, Rafael Grossi, announced 3 direct hits to the protective structures of the main reactor of the Zaporizhzhia NPP. The russians accused the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the shelling. The representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, in turn, assured that Ukraine was not involved in "any armed provocations on the territory of the ZNPP illegally occupied by russia". On April 9, EU High Representative, Josep Borrell, said that the occupation forces should leave the station.
- On April 18, explosions were heard at the ZNPP again. The occupiers claim that a drone tried to attack the station.
