On Tuesday, April 23, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi met in Kyiv with the military leadership of Lithuania — Chief of the Army, Valdemaras Rupšys and Chief of the General Staff, Mindaugas Steponavičius

"I was glad to welcome the military leadership of Lithuania — Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valdemaras Rupšys and Chief of the General Staff Mindaugas Steponavičius — to Kyiv", the statement said.

According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, they discussed a number of important issues with the Lithuanian military leadership. In particular, the situation on the battlefield, the training of our soldiers, and support for Ukraine.

"We have a clear action plan for further cooperation. I thanked my Lithuanian colleagues for their unwavering position and consistent military and technical support for our troops", Syrskyi said.
  • The day before, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also met in Kyiv with the newly appointed Danish Defense Minister Michael Wiggers Hyldgaard.
