"According to the investigation, the suspects, under the supervision of the russian federation, collected schemes, drawings and instructions for the production of steam turbines, as well as components for them from a strategically important enterprise in the Kharkiv region", the report says.
It is noted that the organizer of the agent network was a Kharkiv entrepreneur, he involved other people in criminal activities, including the head of the design bureau and the deputy head of the industrial enterprise's workshop.
The received documents were to be digitized and transferred to the enemy in electronic form.
"This data is necessary for the aggressor state to build and operate hydroelectric power plants, nuclear power plants, thermal power plants, which generate electricity. It is necessary for the smooth functioning of the military-industrial complex of the russian federation. In the context of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, this would provide an opportunity to increase and develop the capacities of the russian federation for the production of weapons, ammunition, explosives, other means of mass destruction, as well as for the repair and construction of military equipment, electronic warfare, unmanned aerial vehicles", the prosecutor's office said.
Law enforcement officers seized from the organizer of the agent network more than UAH 5 million in currency, which he allegedly received from the enemy for cooperation.
The occupiers' accomplices were served a notice of suspicion of treason and taken into custody without the right to be released on bail.
Note: According to part one of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved by law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
