Sobolevskyi also reported on the russians' failure to create a "volunteer battalion"

First Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council, Yurii Sobolevskyi, said in an interview that in the temporarily occupied Kherson region, russian invaders are actively conducting a campaign aimed at encouraging local residents to join the russian army by May 9.

"This story continues. In fact, the occupiers are now approaching their dates. They are trying to make the most of this May 9 to popularize the russian army. The russians have launched a powerful campaign today to encourage people to join the russian army. The occupiers are offering a lot of things to people, including money, benefits, humanitarian support for families, etc.", Sobolevskyi said.

He also noted that the occupiers will not keep any promises.

"The russians have failed to create this illegal armed formation - the so-called "Margelov volunteer battalion". For more than a year now, it has been allegedly created from volunteers from the Kherson region. In fact, the russians no longer even call it a battalion, but a unit. From time to time, there is information that the "DPR" forces or some other unknown people are serving there, i.e. not Kherson residents. The occupiers try to convince us that these are people from Kherson region. But they show them without a surname, with a mask, so it is clear which "Kherson people" they are", Sobolevskyi added.

On April 19, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that in the Kherson sector, the enemy does not give up its intention to drive our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro. Over the past day, the enemy made 11 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of our troops.
