On Saturday, April 6, a roadside bomb detonated in southwestern Syria. It killed at least seven children and injured two others

This was reported by espreso.tv

It is noted that the incident occurred on Saturday in the province of Daraa, located between Jordan and the Golan Heights. russian-backed Syrian government forces, along with their allies, captured the city and province of Daraa in 2018.

It is not yet known who planted the mine in the countryside.

The Syrian state news agency SANA, citing an unnamed police official in Daraa, blamed the deaths of the children on militant groups still operating in the area.

Two people were also reported injured in the explosion.

But the British military monitoring group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights accused the pro-government militia of planting the bomb. According to the human rights organization, the explosion killed at least eight children.

All in all, since the beginning of the year, human rights activists have recorded 83 such incidents in Daraa, which have led to the death of 100 people.

  • On March 30, a car exploded in a crowded market in the Syrian city of Azaz, killing at least seven people and injuring 30 others.
