Azerbaijan accuses Armenia of firing its territory, Yerevan denies firing

On Sunday, April 7, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry announced that the Armenian armed forces had shelled its territory. Yerevan denied this, calling it disinformation

"On April 7, at approximately 17:15, units of the Armenian Armed Forces from positions located in the direction of the settlement of Sultanbek in the Pashala district fired small arms at the positions of the Azerbaijani Army in the direction of the settlement of Shada in the Shahbuz district of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic", the statement said.

In return, the ministry noted, the Azerbaijani army took appropriate measures in this direction.

In response, the Armenian Defense Ministry accused Azerbaijan of spreading disinformation.

"The message of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan that allegedly on April 7 at 17:15 units of the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire on Azerbaijani positions located in the southwestern part of the border zone is not true", the Armenian defense ministry emphasized.
  • The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry on Sunday, March 31, said that recently, in different directions of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conditional border, there has been a concentration of manpower and intensive movement of troops of the Armenian Armed Forces.
