Anatoliy Bondarenko wrote an application for refusal of a 400% monthly allowance for 2024

Cherkasy Mayor Anatoliy Bondarenko wrote a statement in which he refused a monthly allowance of 42 thousand UAH for city leaders.

Bondarenko announced this in his Facebook .

"The bonus of the mayor of the regional center is about 42 thousand UAH per month. Yes, it's a lot, but in the family we decided that these funds and other profits from entrepreneurial activities go to help the Armed Forces and other projects," - Bondarenko wrote.

 He added that he has already contributed 17 vehicles to support military efforts at the front lines.

"Three cars cost more than the entire premium for the year. To calm everyone down, here is my statement, but I have been helping and will continue to help", - said the mayor of Cherkasy.

Considering that Bondarenko would have received 42 thousand UAH monthly, by declining this sum, he foregoes a total of 504 thousand UAH that he could have collected over 12 months in 2024.

We remind readers that the proposal to grant bonuses to Cherkasy's mayor for 2024 was initiated by city council secretary Yuriy Trenkin, which subsequently sparked controversy among social media users.
