Polish carriers plan to organize a new protest on December 18 at the Yahodyn-Dorohusk checkpoint
Border blocking may last until March 8, 2024
Polish carriers are planning another protest at the Yahodyn-Dorohusk checkpoint, starting on December 18, 2023 at 15:00.
This was reported by RMF 24.
According to one of the organizers of the action, Pavel Ozigal, the border blockade may last until March 8, 2024.
It is noted that at the moment there are more than 2000 Ukrainian trucks at the Yahodyn-Dorogusk checkpoint. According to the report, the capacity of the Dorohusk crossing point is approximately 650 trucks per day. This could lead to a queue of about twice as many drivers as during the previous protest.
The Ukrainian drivers propose to let them out of Poland, but at the same time not to allow them to go in the same direction. Polish drivers, for their part, face a similar situation on the opposite side of the border. They are also reported to be excluded from the electronic queue, and they remain there for several days. However, the abolition of this electronic queue is considered to be one of the demands of Polish carriers.
