At least 53 people were injured in a nighttime attack by russian forces on Kyiv, a residential building in the Dnipro district was damaged, and ballistic missile debris fell on the territory of a hospital.

This has been reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

"A total of 53 people were injured as a result of the enemy's night attack. 20 of them, including two children, were hospitalised. Medics provided assistance to 33 wounded on the spot. In particular, 6 children", said Klitschko.

He specified that the ballistic missile fragments fell into the courtyard of an apartment building, which partially destroyed the building itself and a kindergarten located nearby. In addition, parked cars in the yard were burned, and windows in nearby houses and a school were smashed.

"Last night, the debris from another rocket fell on the territory of one of the city hospitals in Dniprovskyi district. The building of the morgue was damaged, and the building of the medical institution sustained minor damage", - Klitschko said.

The mayor of Kyiv promised that the city authorities would provide temporary housing for all those affected during the reconstruction period.

As a reminder, russian troops have launched an active offensive using aircraft and cluster bombs in the Avdiivka and Marinka sectors.
